The near future...

Emma Jansen drives onto your parking area. She is the proud owner of a brand new Nissan Leaf - European Car of the Year and fully electrical. Emma has just brought her children to school and now comes shopping for groceries in your supermarket. It is Thursday morning, 9 o'clock, and the battery indicator of the Leaf indicates 50%. Emma is familiar with your supermarket and knows you have the eNovates charging infrastructure, with which she can fully charge her car or top up the battery. She registers with the eNovates charging station through her loyalty card and connects her car. The status LEDs show blue, indicating that charging has commenced.

"Excellent, now I don't have to rush my shopping", she thinks while she continues. After all, Emma knows she can charge for a full hour - this is the preset time you have allotted to your customers - your marketing department has calculated that this is the optimal shopping duration for your customer base. Emma is also aware why she charges in your supermarket: if she shops for at least € 50, she (and all other customers holding a loyalty card) charges her car totally free of charge. You also offer customers the option of buying pre-paid cards for charging cycles not related to shopping.

Should Emma exceed the maximum charging time, then this is reported through the management system. Your employees can kindly remind Emma, when she arrives at the check-out, that she can only charge for 1 hour through your eNovates charging stations. You also collaborate with surrounding municipalities, who offer so-called 'green cards' to their citizens with which they can also charge in your store. In exchange the municipalities offer you periodical contributions for the use of your infrastructure. This is all made possible by the intelligent eNovates software you use to manage your charging stations. Information, exchanged between various parties, can be fully configured - so there is no need to store private details (which is often not allowed) from your 'green card' users on your system.
